To calibrate the UPS using the Liebert MultiLink software after changing the batteries, open the software and go to the “Calibration” tab. Select the Liebert PSI 1440 model from the drop-down menu and follow the on-screen instructions.
I replaced GXT2-700RT120, which shuts down a Windows 2000 OS via the RS232 (DB9). I installed a PSA5-1000RT120 which has USB. Can you supply the correct version of Multilink to use the USB instead of the DB9? I have Java 1.1.8 installed. Will the new software have the JAVA that I need?

Yes, you can use the USB connection instead of the DB9 with the Liebert MultiLink program. However, the software may not have the JAVA version you need.
I have a question about the implementation of a shutdown remote from the MultiLink application. We want to schedule the right way to turn off the servers connected to the Liebert GTX2 3000 UPS but the "command" column is disabled on the MultiLink Viewer.
What is be the problem here? I couldn't find the MultiLink Advanced version to do that (suddenly, a message appears: The MultiLink Advanced version must be used). There's a MultiLink Advance version, isn't there? We couldn't find it on the Emerson website to download or inside the original CD. Our idea is try to run a command line or script to turn off the other servers from this platform or this application. Could someone explain this or tell how to implement it, please?

There is a MultiLink application available on the Emerson Network Power website. The application is available for downloading, but for the MultiLink Advanced, you will have to contact the developers using the following URL: http://www.emersonnetworkpower.com/en-EMEA/Support/Pages/default.aspx
When I try to install the Liebert Multilink software on a Sun Fire X4270 with the Solaris 10 OS, the configuration screenshot does not allow serial connection to be selected. It is grayed out. We can select only SNMP and Liebert UPS. What can we do?

As you can see in the Software Downloads tab from the Liebert MultiLink official web page, the program should work properly on Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, AIX, Linux, Sun Solaris, HP UX and Novell Netware platforms. If you can't install it on your Sun Fire X4270 machine, the installation packaged may be corrupted or not compatible with your system. In this case, I recommend you contact the developers and request a new installer. After that, you can use the instructions from the official user guide to install the utility.
If you still have problems, make sure that you're logged as a "root" user and open the terminal. Type pmadm -l to disable ttymon that monitors the port and use the displayed PMTAG and SVCTAG values in the following command: pmadm -d -p {PMTAG} -s {SVCTAG}. This should fix the issue.
Model name of the device: Liebert PSI 1440
